Chattanooga is located in Southeast Tennessee near the Georgia border; it is the fourth largest city in Tennessee. Chattanooga’s population in 2006 was estimated to be 153,789 and in Hamilton County the estimated population in 2006 was 310,584. Chattanooga is 675 feet above sea level and has moderate climate, with cool winters, very warm summers and a yearly temperature average of 60.5 degrees. Located in the Eastern Time zone, major cities west of Chattanooga operate on the Central Time zone; they include Birmingham, Huntsville Alabama, and Nashville Tennessee. Chattanooga sits at the intersection of Interstates 75, 24, and 59. The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport serves the area with US Airways Express Comair, Northwest Airlink, American Eagle, and ASA (Atlantic Southeast Airlines).

  • The Tennessee Aquarium (the world’s largest freshwater aquarium)

With over 50 parks, 53 playgrounds, over 125 ball fields, 200 tennis courts, 55 pools, over 15 theatres, white water rafting on 3 area rivers, a variety of golf courses, high adventurous sports such as bungee jumping, hang gliding, and 3 bowling alleys, you will always find something to do in Chattanooga.
